Feed Sponsorship – Buhle Academy
The Buhle Academy is a non-profit organisation that both trains and mentors upcoming previously disadvantaged farmers. Meadow Feeds Delmas donated 184 x 50kg bags of broiler feed to the value of R47 165.10 for their latest poultry course.
Elmund Raboshakga (the senior nutritionist for Delmas and Standerton) also provides specialist input in their poultry production program. A visit to the Delmas mill is planned for October for all trainee poultry farmers.
Meadow Feeds Delmas donates chicken to the CHOC houses on a monthly basis which amounted to R9500.00 for F2015.

Meadow Feeds Delmas further supported CHOC by entering a soccer team in their annual 7-a-side soccer tournament (entry fee R2 200.00).
Santa Shoebox Project
Meadow Feeds Delmas chose Sabathile, and orphanage in Benoni and Nkosi’s Haven for their shoebox project. Luanne, Catherine, Isiah and Sam delivered the Santa Shoeboxes, chicken, previously loved clothing and a Christmas tree.
Chicken patties and rolls for their burgers, sweets and coldrinks were also supplied by Meadow Delmas for their party.
Easter – 2015
Rose-Anne and Ayanda joined the Clearwater staff to ensure that the kiddies at Sabathile had a visit from the Easter bunny! Lots of Easter eggs and other goodies for their Easter lunch.
Meadow Feeds Delmas spent Mandela Day with the children at Sithabile Child & Youth Care Centre, installing a jungle gym for the children and also supplied the centre with groceries.
Wetnose Animal Rehab
During 2015, Meadow Feeds Delmas donated Sweet feed to the Wetnose Animal Rehab to the value of R11 506.56. This is an ongoing project to assist with the nutritional requirements for horses currently placed in Wetnose care.
Casual Day – 2015
The staff of Meadow Feeds Delmas purchased 20 stickers from Astral in support of the Meerhof School and R866 was donated to the school.
Dagbreek Sorg Centre
Meadow also continues to assist Dagbreek with a donation of 1 ton of sweepings per month, which is used in their self-help farming scheme for disadvantaged and homeless persons. The value of the donation is R15,300 per annum.
